COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Steve Carlin, owner of Oxbow Public Market and Chair of the Napa RiverLine Advisory Committee, said the project will form a nonprofit to build a 4.3-mile continuous path along the river — linking the Oxbow Preserve, Oxbow Commons and downtown Napa. He said the plan will boost local walking, biking and public spaces as part of Napa’s ongoing community growth.  City of Napa

CRIME NEWS

  • A Napa driver involved in a three-vehicle crash last week was charged with felony hit-and-run and drunken driving charges — court proceedings are pending.  Napa Valley Register

ECONOMY NEWS

  • The Napa Division of Economic Development published its Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, showing that its Business Concierge program helped more than 20 businesses get 376 new licenses — reurbanization projects and nearly $500,000 in tourism funds boosted local events. The report also lists future plans to expand business support and improve city growth with the Napa RiverLine plan.  City of Napa

  • Napa County announced that Mount Veeder Road northwest of Napa will be closed for two weeks beginning early Monday, Sept. 8 to repair a slide—county crews will work to ensure road safety.  Napa Valley Register
