  • On Monday evening, a female bicyclist was critically injured in Napa when she collided with a pickup truck at the Imola—Soscol intersection—traffic was halted for over three hours as emergency responders worked at the scene.  Napa Valley Register

  • The estate of Napa Valley chef Michael Chiarello filed a lawsuit alleging his business partners improperly seized his restaurants and assets — sparking a dispute over control of the Bottega operations.  Napa Valley Register

CRIME NEWS

  • A Napa County judge on Tuesday rejected Gabriel James Chavez’s (accused) motion to dismiss a murder charge for the June 2024 fatal shooting of Andres Sandoval during a violent brawl at Lake Berryessa Park (incident location).  Napa Valley Register
  • Ramiro Ochoa Mendoza had his charges for disturbances in March and April dismissed on July 8—three days before he was arrested on suspicion of killing Noel Batres.  Napa Valley Register
