  • Today, the Napa Valley Yacht Club teams with Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 5-2 to host boating education and water safety events in Napa — the ongoing partnership aims to teach local boaters safe practices.  Napa Valley Register

  • Rich Frank and John Hansen, longtime friends of the late chef Michael Chiarello (one is a former Disney Studios boss), now fully own and will manage Bottega Napa Valley.  Napa Valley Register

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission will begin accepting applications for the 2025-2026 WCC Grant Cycle on June 20 to support local fish and wildlife projects. Proposals must be submitted by July 21 and will be reviewed on August 25 — funding comes from California Department of Fish and Wildlife fines, local fines and settlements, and the General Fund.  County of Napa

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Napa County Grand Jury reviewed winery permitting in its 2024-25 report and suggested changes to current rules—county officials are expected to consider the recommendations soon.  Napa Valley Register
  • Napa city officials are developing the Park Napa Downtown Parking Plan to improve parking management and support green travel to cut air pollution (a short survey takes 5 to 7 minutes and asks for input on time limits, parking rules, and paid parking).  City of Napa
