Today, the Napa Valley Yacht Club teams with Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 5-2 to host boating education and water safety events in Napa — the ongoing partnership aims to teach local boaters safe practices.

Rich Frank and John Hansen, longtime friends of the late chef Michael Chiarello (one is a former Disney Studios boss), now fully own and will manage Bottega Napa Valley.

The Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission will begin accepting applications for the 2025-2026 WCC Grant Cycle on June 20 to support local fish and wildlife projects.

Proposals must be submitted by July 21 and will be reviewed on August 25 — funding comes from California Department of Fish and Wildlife fines, local fines and settlements, and the General Fund.

The Napa County Grand Jury reviewed winery permitting in its 2024-25 report and suggested changes to current rules—county officials are expected to consider the recommendations soon.

Napa city officials are developing the Park Napa Downtown Parking Plan to improve parking management and support green travel to cut air pollution (a short survey takes 5 to 7 minutes and asks for input on time limits, parking rules, and paid parking).
