➤ A Napa County jury on Thursday acquitted former American Canyon school principal Andrew Goff—accused of failing to report child abuse—after an American Canyon coach was arrested and imprisoned for sexually abusing a student. Napa Valley Register

➤ Napa County has decided to convert its $17 million reentry facility into a Behavioral Health Treatment Center — the new center will offer mental health services to local residents. Napa Valley Register
➤ Napa City Council appointed five local residents to the Measure G Citizen Oversight Committee at the May 20 meeting to review spending from a one-cent sales tax that funds road repairs, park improvements and emergency services.
