🌲 Environment
Napa Open Space District acquired property on Mount Veeder in the Mayacamas Mountains that touches The Cove—an old Girl Scout camp.
The district said the purchase will add to its network of preserved open spaces.
The Bay Area Air District issued an air quality advisory for Napa County and the Bay Area (Monday and today) because wildfire smoke from Canadian wildfires is drifting through the region.
🏛️ Government
Napa County will hold two budget hearings for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, with an evening session on Monday, June 16 at 6 p.m. and a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 17 at 9 a.m. — both events will be held in the Board Chambers at 1195 Third Street in Napa and streamed online with Spanish translation and closed captioning.
