Sgraffito Workshop with Lorraine Blume (Ages 12+)

About this event

Tuesday, Nov 10th, 12-3pm, Sgraffito Workshop with Lorraine Blume (Ages 12+)

Sgraffito is a decorative technique that involves cutting away parts of a surface layer to reveal the natural clay beneath. Such a fun & fabulous art to learn, and for this workshop, we have a very special guest artist, Lorraine Blume, all the way from Newport KY!

For this workshop, Lorraine will provide you with two clay plates on which to learn & to be fired. She will lead you in learning the technique while creating a mandala design on the first one, and you will be able to create whatever you want on the second one! This Workshop is for ages 12+

It will take about 3-4 weeks for us to fire & clear glaze them for you, and we’ll reach out to via email when your project is ready for pick up.

Price is $75 (all inclusive: clay, tools, instruction, glazing, firing, etc) and no experience is required!
