🌶️ R Ranch Chili Cookoff — Let the Chili Wars Begin! 🔥

Saturday, November 7 | R Ranch at the Lake

Get ready to turn up the heat, Ranchers! It's time to dust off those secret family recipes, grab your favorite spices, and compete for the ultimate R Ranch chili bragging rights!

Whether you like your chili mild or wild, with beans or without, everyone is welcome to join the fun. Best of all, this tasty competition is a fundraiser to support activities at the Ranch! Download the Rules and Sign-up Packet Here.

🌶️ Think You've Got the Winning Chili?

• Entry Fee: $30 per team or individual.

• Teams: Up to 4 people. Pick a creative team name and get ready to compete!

• Anything Goes: Beans or no beans, spicy or mild — it's one big, open competition!

• Cook It at the Ranch: Prep your ingredients ahead of time, but all chili must be cooked at your Ranch campsite.

• Bring Your Gear: Contestants provide their own ingredients, cooking equipment, and supplies.

• Bring Plenty: Prepare at least 6 quarts of chili. More is encouraged so everyone gets a taste!

⏰ The Chili Showdown Schedule

8:00 AM – Fire up those pots! Cooking begins.

12:00 PM – Spoons up! Chili must be ready for tasting.

12:00–1:30 PM – Taste, judge, and enjoy!

2:00 PM – Winners announced and bragging rights awarded!

🥄 Everyone Gets to Be a Judge!

For just $5 , Ranch owners can purchase a tasting kit complete with sample cups, spoons, and judging cards.

Taste the competing chilis and rate your favorites on a 1-to-5 scale in five categories:

Appearance • Taste • Consistency • Aroma • Spice

Drop your completed judging cards in the ballot box, and we'll tally the votes to crown our chili champions!

🏆 Bragging Rights Are on the Line!

We'll recognize 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place , with the grand champion earning a special plaque displayed in the Lodge for all to admire!

And remember, champions clean up after themselves — all teams are responsible for cleaning their cooking and serving areas after the competition.

This isn't just about who makes the best chili. It's about bringing Ranchers together, sharing some laughs, enjoying delicious food, and raising money for more fun activities at R Ranch.
