About this event

You are warmly invited to join family, friends, colleagues, and admirers from around the world on November 15th as we come together to celebrate the extraordinary life and legacy of Richard Heinberg.
A Senior Fellow at Post Carbon Institute for nearly 20 years, Richard was a pioneering voice on resilience and the energy crisis. He was the author of fourteen books, hundreds of articles, and the award-winning monthly Museletter.
Richard was a skilled writer and speaker who could synthesize complex issues and ideas into understandable language. His calm demeanor, sharp wit, and intense focus made difficult and daunting facts feel bearable.
Richard was a lifelong violinist and guitarist who, more recently, took up the piano. For decades, he maintained a devoted, focused daily practice and played in bands, chamber groups, duos, and orchestras throughout his life.
Beyond his public work, those who knew him personally were struck by his genuine curiosity. He was always asking questions and truly listening for the answers.
Join us in Santa Rosa on November 15th for an afternoon of gratitude and celebration for a life so fully and generously lived. Richard’s commemoration will be held from 2:30 to 4:00 pm, with arrival starting at 2:00 pm and a social hour to follow the program.
Seating is limited. Please use the RSVP link on EverLoved to save your spot.
