Blithe Spirit - Play

About this event

A ghostly comedy filled with unexpected twists, supernatural surprises, and plenty of laughs is coming to the San Marin stage!

San Marin Performing Arts is excited to present Blithe Spirit , the classic comedy by celebrated playwright Noël Coward. Running November 12–16 at the Emily Gates Performing Arts Center, this witty and spirited production brings together mystery, mischief, and a little supernatural chaos, all brought to life by San Marin High School's talented drama students.

About the Show

What happens when a séance goes hilariously wrong?

Novelist Charles Condomine invites the eccentric medium Madame Arcati to his home, hoping to gather inspiration for his next book. But when the séance unexpectedly summons the ghost of his first wife, Elvira, things quickly spiral out of control.

Invisible to everyone but Charles, the mischievous Elvira is determined to disrupt his marriage to his second wife, Ruth. As supernatural surprises and romantic rivalries unfold, Charles finds himself caught between two wives, one living and one very much not.

Filled with sharp dialogue, clever humor, and delightfully chaotic situations, Blithe Spirit is a timeless comedy that proves some relationships are difficult to leave behind, even after death.
